May 15th: We found it was causing lag, especially when you had a poor connection, so we've disabled it until we can rework it to not cause lag. You can still tap the translate button on a message to translate it for now.

🎁 Favor Gifts added to the Spring Mark Fortune packs

May 15th: We added them mid-event, so all those who purchased them prior to the addition were granted the Fortune Gifts for free. There was nothing to collect, it was auto-added to their accounts.

💾 A new client was released

May 15th: We released r48.2.1 which included several fixes to Army Templates:

Changes in unsaved army templates were sometimes lost after a reload
Army template would sometimes save to the wrong slot after a reload
When you upgrade a piece of equipment in one template, it will use it in another template instead of failing to find it
Sometimes army templates could not be loaded if they had a name exceeding the character limit in some languages.

As well as some other changes:

Red dot was not showing on inbox when you had some unread messages
Various fixes for upcoming Contest of Kingdoms / Shard Wars
Mining stats were not showing up in Champion Bonus overview panel
Various work for an upcoming champ

May 17th: Some items in the research trees only went to level 8, we have added in additional levels so they can be upgraded to level 10, this is all additional stats so no one's stats will have gone down.

👑 Sovereign Crown update

May 17th: The Sovereign Crown, which all players receive for free, has been updated so it protects the Noble wearing it from Assault or Capture (unless they have done something naughty). This will let you pick a member of your family who you wish to keep out of harms way. It has also been given a small room boost. Naughty actions include having a warrant on your head or getting caught sabotaging or heisting, the crown won't protect you from capture in those cases.

📈 Citadel Mark exchange rate change

May 17th: We have halved the cost of Citadel Marks

9 gold use to get you 1 mark, it now will get you 2.
All packs containing Citadel Marks have had the quantity of marks in them doubled

🎁 Mark gift

May 17th: All players that purchased any Citadel Mark packs in season 2 (since April 5th) have been granted Citadel Marks based on the quantity they purchased. If you spent $5 on a pack with 600, it now contains 1200, so we have gifted you 600. There is nothing to collect, they have been added to your accounts, receipt can be found in reports.

Inspiring, Wise, Brilliant, Bright, Meticulous:Metal and Meticulous:Mineral have had their maximum level increased from Mythical 3:3 to Mythical 5:3.
No changes have been made to the stats or costs of these traits at any of the existing levels. These new levels are fully additive in both their stat progression and costs.
Each new level costs 20 Mythical Trait Tomes to upgrade.

For the attackers

We've reverted the changes to smoke duration and morale that we made back in May 2025. Smoke now again lasts 8h instead of 12h, and morale penalty for hitting a smoking city has returned to -500 (was -600).

For the defenders

When a battle ends, be it PvP or an invasion, all of your injured garrisoned troops will be healed and restocked. This will happen instantly!, and for free!! (no resources or speedups needed)

Why?

We want to make PvP more fun and frequent, and by reducing the smoking time you will see more targets available at all levels. With the instant free healing of reserves we also are taking some of the sting out of getting hit so people are more inclined to engage in back-and-forth battles. If you were relying on double tapping (hitting someone, failing to defeat them, then hitting them again before they restocked reserves) then you had skill issues, get gud :)

We will also be working on a \"Heal All\" for armies, as well as some other combat-related items like auto-healing armies when they return home, and selecting an army to auto-deploy in defense of your city. What are templates?

A template is your complete set of armies, configured however you like.
Every player gets 4 templates at level 16 for free
The first template will auto-fill with your current armies when you reach level 16
Each template can hold as many armies as you have unlocked. So if you have 12 armies now, you can make 4 different configurations of 12 armies. If you unlock a 13th army, all 4 templates can have a 13th army.
Each template (set of armies) can use the same Nobles, Banners, Battalion Equipment, Champions and Troops used in any other template. There is no need to craft additional things or train additional troops.

How to create a new template

Click the template icon top right of armies
Select an empty slot
Configure your armies
Click the save icon in the top right corner
Give the template a name

Restrictions on switching

You can not switch templates if any armies in the currently loaded templates are injured or not home (mining, staged, attacking, traveling).

Warnings when switching

You can get a few warnings when switching between templates.

A lack of available troops: This can happen if you have assigned troops to garrisons since you last had that template loaded. If the game fails to find enough troops available to re-create all the armies in the template, it will give you a warning and do the best it can.
If you upgrade equipment or banners while the template is not loaded you will need to re-assign the equipment when you next load the template. Like with the missing troops above, if the template is trying to find a level 3 Gravefrost Shield, and you upgraded it to level 4 while the template was not in use, it will fail to find a level 3 to use and give a warning.
If a Noble commanding an army in a template is captured, away from home (in a Trade Post or someone else's Keep) or you sacrificed or married them out of your family. You will get a warning when loading the template(s) they commanded armies in. As with the current system, you'll need to remake the impacted army with a different noble if they're not coming home.

None of the above prevent you from switching templates, you'll just find you have some missing troops, equipment, or armies you can not deploy. You can resolve the issues then re-save the template to prevent the warning from showing again.

Our motivation behind this work

While Champions are an exciting part of the game there are three aspects to them we feel can be improved.

They have a wide variety of bonuses and abilities which can make it tricky to discover the best combinations to place in your armies.
Some Champions have bonus combinations that do not necessarily go well together.
Time between upgrades can really slow down for both Champion levels and Ranks in the late game. This is compounded by Ranks limiting level upgrades so if you're a long time away from upgrading a Champion’s Rank it can also pause your level upgrades.
Finally, Common and Uncommon Champions, while easier to upgrade, are not powerful enough to be of use later on in the game and become obsolete.

We have put together an update to Champions that will improve and address many of the concerns above.
This update builds on the work we have already done for newer Champions and incorporates those changes into all existing Champions.

It is our hope that the changes will greatly improve Champions as one of the most exciting aspects of the game.

A summary of the changes

Rarity Upgrade: We are removing the \"Common\" rarity, upgrading Commons to higher rarities. Additionally, some Uncommon Champions are getting moved up a rarity level. With increased rarity comes stronger abilities.
40 Levels: All Champions that had a maximum of 20 levels now have a maximum of 40 levels. If you had any of these Champions their levels have been adjusted to maintain your progress towards maxing them out.
Level gating change: Champion levels are no longer blocked by promotions, they are instead blocked by Keep level. This lets us ensure Champions do not get ahead of players in terms of power. By Keep Level 30 you can max a Champion to level 40.
Ranks: Stars are changing to \"Ranks\", with 25 total ranks. Your existing stars have been translated to ranks to ensure no progress is lost. In most cases you will have gained progress. Having more steps in the promotion lets you improve your Champions more frequently in the later-stages of the game.
Shard Cost: Excluding Commander and Titan Champions, all Champions have had their total shard cost standardized to 3,600. Any unspent shards you had have been adjusted to maintain your progress towards the next rank/star.
XP Cost: The XP cost to max out an Uncommon, Rare, or Epic Champion has been *reduced* by 25%. Mythical remains unchanged.
Battalion Size: All Champions now improve Battalion Size. The scale of this is based on their Rarity and Rank.
Unit assignment: More standardization of which troop types can be assigned to Champions to make them more general purpose so you can better tune which troop you take into battle. For a couple of weeks we will continue to let you assign general troops to the \"DPS\" and \"Tank\" Champions, if you are paying attention to their abilities you should already be assigning the correct types of troops.
Replacement of non-combat passives: Champions that improved Heal Cost, Deploy Cost, or Heal Speed have had those bonuses replaced by things that actually impact combat.
Faction Slayer > Elemental Slayer: Human, Orc, Elf, Undead Slayer have been turned into Elemental Bonuses that match the Faction (Human>Physical, Orc>Fire, Undead>Frost, Elf>Lightning). This maintains their faction bonus while also giving them utility in PvP!

This update includes UI changes on the Champion screens to make it easier to inspect abilities and see what bonuses they add if leveled up. We've also standardized the names of Passive bonuses across all Champions to make it easier to understand.

Introducing the Citadel

One of the big pieces of feedback last year was how it was frustrating to have new content like champions and equipment drop every month and for there to be no standard way for people to catch up if they missed out on the initial drop. To solve this we are introducing a new tab in the Shop UI called the Citadel. The Citadel features past content as well as some new content (more on that below) that you can grab in exchange for Citadel Marks, the seasonal currency of the Citadel.

Citadel Seasons

Every season (around 3 months) the Citadel will have all the content from the previous season added to its shelves, as well as any new season content that is exclusive to the Citadel.

Citadel Marks

The currency of the Citadel, which can be purchased using gold or found in packs. Like the Citadel, the Marks are seasonal. So Season One Marks you get today can be used to purchase any and all Season One Content. This includes what is in the Citadel now, and what content from Season One we have in the game that is not yet in the Citadel when Season Two starts. When Season Two starts (and all the chests and packs switch over to selling Season Two Marks), all the Season One content will be able to be purchased using either Season One or Season Two marks. This will become more clear as new seasons are added, but the bottom line is:

Past content moves into the Citadel each season so you always have a means to get and catch up on things you missed.
A season's Marks can be spent on that Season and past seasons content so they don't expire.

Season One

Our first season, and the grand opening of the Citadel, contains our 3rd Generational Champion Khor'ash Scorchbringer, a new Trebuchet Champ with much of the same increases in stats you have seen on our previous Generation Champs: Commander Terric and Commander Kaori... that is to say: Khor'ash is a very good Champion. As this is our first Season, and therefore there's no content from past seasons to be included in the Citadel, we've put together a mixture of content from the past few months that we believe some of you would appreciate the ability to catch up on. Next season, the two Commanders (Terric and Kaori) and their equipment will be added to the Citadel as Season One content, which you can get using Season One Marks you've saved up (or Season Two Marks when those become available)

Generational Champions

Each season we will introduce three new Champions that we're calling \"generational\". They are intended to be unlocked early and leveled up over the course of the game and will all result in champs that are a cut above the rest once fully leveled (which will be a longer and more costly in resources and time than \"regular\" champs). Within a season, one Generational Champion will be exclusive to the Citadel (marks via gold or purchases). One exclusive to Shard Showdowns (highly competitive gameplay), and one exclusive to Battle Passes (ftp solo gameplay). For Season One, Terric is our BP Champ, Kaori is our Shard Showdown Champ, and Khor'ash is our Citadel Champ. When the season ends and three new Generational champs are added, all three from the previous generation will be available in the Citadel. This will let everyone catch up on Terric, Kaori and Khor'ash, as well as all their equipment over the following seasons.

Additional Free Chests

The Citadel also contains some free chests that contain Gold and a Mark, the refreshing of these chests works out to be equivalent to 4 marks a week for free (if the gold is used to buy Marks).

Suspiciously Good Machine Building Speed

This new piece of research is available to all players who are level 22 or higher. As with the Troop Training Speed it greatly increases the speed at which you can build all machines from the humble Rockbreaker to the mighty Trebuchet!

Upcoming price changes

The 3rd \"+1 Family Slot\" is receiving a price reduction this week from $199.99 USD to $99.99 USD. We are also upping the purchase limit from 3 to 4 with the 4th also costing $99.99. All those players who purchased it for the 3rd time at the original $199.99 price point will be given the 4th slot for free when it becomes available this week, regardless of how long ago they made the purchase. 🍓 We have also sent them a dozen Boink Berries as a thank-you for their support.

The Suspiciously Good Troop Training Speed will be receiving a price increase from $19.99USD to $49.99USD to better reflect its utility. This price change will take place on the 4th February. The resource cost will also be adjusted. There will be no impact to any functionality or pack contents.

⛏ Tier 2 Ore/Refine Changes

The ore capacity and payout of the T2 ores (Iron Ore, Emerald Ore, Sulfur Ore) have been increased by 10x. Any of these ores you had in your inventory have also been multiplied by 10. And the refinery cost of Iron, Emerald and Sulfur has been increased:

1x refine = 8.6x old value
2x refine = 7x old value
3x refine = 3x old value

This effectively makes the cost of refining these T2 materials between 16% and 77% less expensive. At Keep level 21 (using the baseline mine rates) the time to get enough ore to do a 3x refine of Tier 2 materials has gone from 78.5 hours to 23.7 hours! This brings the Tier 2 refining experience in line with the Tier 1 and Tier 3, and will assist players in making progress through levels 21 to 30 as we expect to see more players opting for the 2x and 3x refining option, doubling or tripling their Iron, Emerald and Sulfur income rates.

We're expanding on the benefits to mining roles by adding a few new types of mines on the map in addition to adding a new mining role (The Surveyor) as well as updating some Mining Talents and making some big changes to the refinery.

The new mines we're adding bring more utility to the mining roles so players that want to invest into those roles see more of a benefit for having a more well-rounded family.

Normal Mines
The mines you all grew up with.

We removed level 1 and 3, and made all that remain level 2 (increasing the average capacity in the shard as level 3 were rare and level 1 were common).
Can still be mined by any role of Noble.
No change to mining rates.

[NEW] Rich Mines
Rich Mines replace half the existing Normal Mines on all Shards, and can be thought of as \"A Normal Mine on steroids!\". They drop the same nine ores as the Normal Mines but, unlike the Normal Mines, they contain way more ore, and have almost double the base rate of extraction as the level 2 Normal mines!

Regular Refines

All of the existing standard refines for the nine materials are unchanged in their refined material payouts. However, with almost double the baseline Ore extraction rates on both the Rich and Hoard Mines, plus the bonuses we’ve improved for the mining roles, and improved talents on the Surveyor (see below), the frequency you can refine and also the use of the 2x and 3x options should improve for all players, resulting in a net increase in the refined material income.

[NEW] Treasure Refines

In the refinery you'll find new refine options for the Orc, Undead, and Dragon Treasure. These refines can be done in parallel to the existing Ore refines and simply have a 1x option.

Each Treasure, when refined, converts into additional \"bonus\" materials for that tier of Treasure. The Orc Treasure will drop Bronze, Ruby and Salt. The Undead Treasure will drop Iron, Emerald and Sulfur. The Dragon Treasure will drop Steel, Sapphire and Mercury. In this way, the Faction Mines technically have a bonus over the new Rich mines, and the rate all players can earn refined materials gets a further boost!

But wait, there's more...

The treasure refines also have a chance to drop Gold and tier-appropriate Honors, with the Dragon Treasure having an additional chance to drop Dragon Stone!

Removing Gold refines and Ore

We can all agree that Gold refining was a poor use of your mining armies, and by adding gold drops to the Treasure refines you are essentially getting free Gold refines as a byproduct of refining Treasures. The existing Gold Ore refines will remain in the game for a while, giving those with any left-over Gold Ore a chance to refine it. Eventually the Gold Ore refine options and any Gold Ore in inventory will be removed.

Removing Impure refines and Ore

Impure refining required you to mine Glittering and Mysterious mines, to get random quantities of different qualities of Impure materials, to do trading / refining with the Wandering Merchant, to finally end up with some Pure material you could refine into the standard refined materials.

This was a lot of steps and a lot of work for not much reward, also fell off in value sharply towards the end game.

With the new Hoard Mine Treasures being able to instantly be refined into the materials directly, there is no need for these Impure materials, refines, and trades to remain in the game. We're leaving the refine options in for a bit longer so anyone with impure materials can use them up before we remove the refines and trades and any remaining Impure materials from the game.

Mining Noble Talent Changes

\"Meticulous\", \"Fixated\", and \"Greedy\" Noble Traits now include bonuses to Rich and/or Hoard mine rates.
\"Mining Defense\" and \"Load Protection\" have been removed from \"Fixated\" and \"Greedy\".
New traits \"Legendary Excavator\" with Gem, Mineral and Metal variants have been added with: 10% bonus Mining Capacity, 10% bonus Mining Rates for Normal and/or Rich mines, 20% bonus to Hoard mines.

[NEW] The Surveyor Role

Available at Keep level 30, this new role gains access to the Rich mines when it achieves level 3 Automation Talent, and the Hoard mines at level 4 Automation.

Some known issues

This is quite a big update, so there are probable some things we have missed or tweaks we need to make, and we'll work to get any and all bug reports addressed as soon as possible. We are aware of three things which we did not consider blockers for this release:

The new Rich and Hoard mines will not spawn until the mine they will replace is completely vacated. This will happen naturally over time as people mine out the ore... of course some shards may try to coordinate people recalling or helping them off the mines to speed things along.
Sometimes, not always, the \"GO TO\" takes you to a normal mine and not a rich or hoard.
Sometimes, not always, the ETA text says \"finished\" on a mining army instead of the actual time remaining.

After reviewing feedback, we have made the following additions to the newly released Fearstrike and Dreadforged Battalion Equipment:

Rare Fearstrike Cavalry Saber
We've added a Fire Element that increases damage against Physical units by 60% at max level. This is in addition to the existing Unit Damage, Unit Speed, and increased damage against Feared units. NOTE: This makes the battalion Fire instead of Physical.

Epic Dreadforged Cavalry Saber
Same as above, but 152% extra damage to Physical at max level.

Rare Fearstrike Platemail & Shield
Now has a bonus PvP Defense that goes up-to +10% at max level. (+20% with both equipped)

Epic Dreadforged Platemail & Shield
Same as above, maxing out at +25% PvP Defense. (+50% with both equipped)

These are all additions to the existing equipment, no stats were changed on any of the existing modifiers the equipment had.

Changes to noble trait re-roll costs
For all players, and all Noble quality levels, the gold cost of re-rolling traits no longer exceeds 4,000 gold.

Changes to \"Suspiciously Good Offspring\" Research

It no longer impacts the odds of quality at birth, which was generally seen as a negative given that higher quality Nobles have fewer chances to reroll traits.
It applies a 33% reduction in reroll gold costs (all quality levels, all rerolls)
The 4,000 gold cap is reduced to 2,000 gold.

This means, at a minimum, the research reduces rerolling by 33%, with savings increasing rapidly if you hit the lower 2k cap.

We hope you're having a great week. This patch contains the following changes to Battalion Equipment (BEQ) and does not require a download or restart:

Elemental Rares were updated to make their elemental bonuses slightly better at level 1.
Rockbreaker BEQ was updated to ensure that when moving between rarities no bonuses dropped in value.
Rockbreaker 'Head' BEQ gained 'Max Load' bonuses.
BEQ Power values were updated to account for the power differential between regular BEQ and Elemental BEQ (ie Elemental BEQ gained power by roughly 2x)

We also have improved the Uncommon level 1 stats of many pieces of Battalion Equipment to ensure they are at or better than the max level of their Common version to ensure that leveling up never causes stats to go down. This could be our biggest update to Nobles since we added the ability to upgrade both their role and quality!

1. Very soon, you will be able to UPGRADE any existing Legendary (level 4) version of Brilliant, Meticulous (metal) and Inspiring to Mythical (level 5).
2. And very soon, all five Mythical traits (Fanatical, Wise, Brilliant, Meticulous, and Inspiring) will have sub-levels where you can micro-upgrade them an additional eight times to improve them further.
3. The ability to do this, and events to earn the things you need will start this Friday, and run monthly.

ℹ️ REGARDING PLAYER LEVELS: Trait promotion from Legendary to Mythical, and upgrading Mythical traits from \"1-1\" to \"3-3\" is exclusive to players who are level 31 or higher. As such, the events to earn the currency to perform these upgrades are only visible to those players at or above level 31. Mythical traits can be obtained through breeding by any level player, and this update has not altered the calculations behind the inheriting of traits or rolling traits in any way.

ℹ️ FOR PLAYERS WITH EXISTING MYTHICAL TRAITS: Anyone with existing Mythical Wise or Mythical Fanatical will have their traits pre-leveled to ensure there is no step backwards in their stats. This still leaves some additional levels to be had, making the traits better than ever!

The Currencies

Each mythical trait has it's own Mythical Token that is needed to perform the upgrade from Legendary.
A universal currency called Trait Tomes can be used to improve ANY Mythical trait eight times from 1-1 to 3-3.
A currency called Noble Marks is used by events to exchange for Tokens or Tomes in a shop that is open during those events.

Earning through events

For players level 31+ you will soon see a Solo Milestone event called Mark of Power and a Leaderboard event called Mythical Ascension. Both events pay out Noble Marks to be used in a trait shop to get Tokens or Tomes. The leaderboard event will awards the top 100 players varying amounts of Marks (to be spent in the shop) and the top 50, 25 and 10 players will also earn 1, 2 and 3 Tokens (for upgrading from Legendary to Mythical directly).

ℹ️ MARK ROLLOVER: The shop will remain open for 24h after the last event ends. Noble Marks (the store currency) do NOT reset when the shop closes, they roll over into the next month's shop so players can save up over multiple events.

ℹ️ LEVELING UP: Leveling up from 30 to 31 during the events unlocks them for you. For however long is remaining on them.

ℹ️ FREQUENCY: The shop will open each month, with new events. Each month will have different traits available in the events and shop. For this first month those traits are Brilliant and Meticulous, with the new Mythical Inspiring and older Fanatical and Wise coming to future events.

Buying through the store

We want the primary means to earn the Marks, Tokens, and Tomes to be via events. With this goal in mind, all packs in the store have HARD LIMITS on the number of times they can be purchased.

Packs that source Tokens (used to upgrade from Legendary to Mythical) and Marks (used in the Shop) reset their purchase limits MONTHLY and are only available to purchase while the shop is open.
Packs that source Tomes (used to improve a Mythical trait) reset their purchase limits WEEKLY and are available during and between events.

ℹ️ SPECIAL FOR THIS LAUNCH WEEKEND ONLY: The per-pack limits on Tomes (used to improve a Mythical trait) will reset daily (4 times) and the $50 price point, which will normally have a cap of 2 purchases a week, has its limit removed. The limits on Mark and Token packs are fixed and will reset next month.

Treasure to Arms

After reviewing feedback from players, we have made the decision to cancel the upcoming Treasure to Arms solo leaderboard event. We will be making changes to supplement the way points are scored to include a couple of ways that are not directly tied to spend to break ties and to make it more fair for all. We will also be improving the rewards.

We expect to have the new Treasure to Arms event ready by Wednesday. Some other events that fed into the Treasure to Arms event have also been delayed to Wednesday.

Battalion Equipment (BEQ) in the shop

Instead of having the Boulder, Frame and Counterweight take turns in the shop in weeks 1, 2 and 3, and then all returning in week 4, all three pieces are now available at the same time for the remainder of the Battle Pass. Each item will have a purchase limit of two per player, with additional ones been able to be won in events (Equipment won in events does not deduct from your max purchase count in the shop)

Free sourcing of the new BEQ

With some changes to upcoming milestone events, any player that completes each daily milestone event will earn enough relics to unlock one piece of the new Battalion Equipment every week, up from the previous free allotment which was enough for a single piece over the course of the Battle Pass.

The problem
The solo leaderboard event \"Treasures to Arms\" was setup in a way that has caused many people to tie for 1st place. Unfortunately our event system deals with ties by sorting those with the same score by the date/time they achieved that score. And in this situation that is unfair.

When the event is over, the maximum points possible will be 54,300, and in some brackets on some shards there may be many people who achieve that score... but only one person in 1st place.

How we're making it right
To make this fair, **anyone** who achieves the **maximum score of 54,300** will be awarded the difference in prizes from what the event awarded them, and what 1st place received. *It doesn't matter if you are 99th in your bracket, if you score 54,300 points you'll receive the same rewards as the 1st place player.*

In addition, 1st place (if they scored 54,300 points) will receive the **Halloween Relics** that 2nd place received, ensuring all who scored 54,300 end up with identical rewards.

When will it happen?
The distribution of loot, to ensure everyone in the game gets the 1st place prizes who scored 54,300 points, will take place **within 48 hours of the event ending**. Prizes will show up in reports and we will post on our Discord when it has been completed.

We apologize for any frustration this has caused, future runs of this event will be setup in a way where ties for 1st are unlikely to happen.

Scoring points
The event store resets at 19:00 UTC every day, and closes at 19:00 UTC on Monday. With each store containing 13,200 points, and two events worth 750 each, this is how a person could achieve the maximum of 54,300 points.

TLDR
54300 points = 1st place prizes regardless of where you rank. Any other score gets what the event gives you. We are ensuring that anyone who scores the max points possible (54,300) gets rewarded with 1st place prizes.

Starting today and ending on the 14th of October our 28th Battle Pass is available on all shards a134 and older.

Compete in events to earn tokens to spend in the Champion Crest and Halloween Relic shops. Though the last time to earn points will be when the Battle Pass ends, the store will remain open to spend the tokens for an additional 2 days, closing on 16th of October.

New Champion

Harnessing dark magic, Kalathar Duskweaver grants Trebuchets in his army increased setup speed bonuses (the time between deployment or moving and their first shot firing). His **Magic Storm** ability deals damage over time to any enemies in its range, and extra damage to gates and walls!

New Items

Woeful Boulder
This equipment increases the damage of Trebuchets and Catapults between 20% and 50%, and their damage against buildings between 24% and 60%.
Soulwrought Boulder
Improves the damage of Trebuchets and Catapults from 50% to 125%, with additional 60% to 152% against gates and walls.
Woeful Trebuchet Frame
This equipment increases the health of Trebuchets between 16% and 40% and the setup time of all Trebuchets in your army by 4% and 10%.
Soulwrought Trebuchet Frame
This equipment increases the health of Trebuchets between 40% and 100% and the setup time of all Trebuchets in your army by 10% and 25%.
Woeful Counterweight
This equipment increases the damage of Trebuchets and Catapults between 16% and 40%, and their damage against buildings between 10% and 25%.
Soulwrought Counterweight
This equipment increases the damage of Trebuchets and Catapults between 40% and 100%, and their damage against buildings between 25% and 62%. (

Item availability

The new Champion is available for the entire Battle Pass until the store closes on the 16th of October.

The new items are available one after another (Boulder > Frame > Counterweight) in the first 3 weeks (max purchase of 1 each) and then all three return in the 4th week where they can be purchased for a 2nd time (or 1st if you did not unlock them in the week they were available). The Boulder's and Counterweight's are the first pieces of Battalion Equipment that add additional bonuses specifically against walls and gates, a bonus previously reserved for banners!

The store refreshes its content weekly of everything else besides the new Battalion Equipment listed above which takes turns each week then all returns at the end for one lass hurrah!

This Friday and Saturday we're going to try something different with two of our long-running events: The \"Kingdoms of Prestige\" and\" \"Reign Supreme\" solo leaderboard events. These changes will apply to ALL shards, for all players level 21+

📒 The four main changes to these two events

1️⃣ Global competition

For these 2 events, instead of competing with those on your shard, you will be competing with players on every shard taking part.

2️⃣ Per-level brackets

Instead of brackets grouping multiple Keep levels together, there will be one bracket per level! This means that you are only competing with those players in the game at your exact level, no one above or below you.

3️⃣ Short Form (Blitz!)

Instead of running for 24h, where you need to take and then maintain a lead for an extended period of time to win, these two events will run multiple times in that same 24h period. Each event will run for 2 hours, and then there will be a 1 hour break before it runs again (8 times total in the same 24h period, 16 total for both events over the Friday and Saturday).

Winners will get their prizes when each 2 hour event ends (can collect points earned for 6 hours after each Blitz ends, after which they auto-collect). The leaderboard for each Blitz is also reset.

Meaning, you can pick which part of the day you want to play... and only have to compete for a much shorter periods of time!

4️⃣ Meta event

The prizes in the individual 2 hour Blitz events are points that feed into a solo milestone event which will be running in parallel.

The Blitz events will award:

30 points for 1st place
15 points for 2nd to 10th
5  points for 11th to 20th
1  point  for 21st to 30th

You're not competing with others in the meta event, it has 5 solo milestones. The prizes are quite juicy:

5  points -> 🪙 300 Gold
15 points -> 🪙 2,000 Coronets
30 points -> 🪙 5,000 Coronets
50 points -> 📜 1 Divorce Scroll
75 points -> 🪓 Cursebound Icemarrow

That's a 300 Gold, $70 of Coronets (store credit), a Divorce scroll that would otherwise have taken $500 of spend to earn, with a pretty good piece of Noble Equipment on the final milestone that hasn't been sources since it appeared in a Battle Pass in November 2023!

A few examples of paths to glory, to help illustrate the above:

Place 2nd to 10th in 5 of the 16 events to 100% the milestones.
Place 11th to 20th in 6 of the 16 events to get all of the Gold and Coronets available.
Come 1st once and then in the top 10 twice to get everything but the Axe.

New Wall Strength Research
We have added two new \"Wall Strength\" research nodes to the \"City\" research tree.
- These new nodes have 10 levels each
- The T3 node unlocks at level 22 and can be maxed by level 30 for a total bonus of 75%
- The T4 node unlocks at level 31 and can be maxed by level 38 for a combined bonus of 150%
- Wall Strength bonus stack with any existing bonuses that impact wall strength
- No changes were made to the base wall HP, this research is completely additive. Therefore, any amount of research on either of these new nodes will improve your defenses relative to before this update where wall strength research did not exist.
- Note: These are percentage bonuses, so \"100%\" would mean the wall would have twice the \"health\", take twice the damage to destroy.

Morale change for reinforcing defenders on Capitals or Guilds,

In line with the morale change made in r45.19.1 (where you can reinforce up to and including the level of the defenders city with no risk of morale penalty) we have now factored in the level of the capital or guild that player is occupying. The higher level of the two (the player, or the spot) is used when determining if morale penalties should be skipped when reinforcing the defender.

Trade Daily Goal Tweak,

Starting a trade now marks your trading Daily goal as completed, you no longer have to wait for it to end to collect the goal.

Gladius Battle Pass,

Starting on the 7th, shard a134 will begin their Gladius Battle Pass. GL&HF!

General Updates

Fixed spawn issue for Red Tusks on a129
Lightning weapon BEQ was incorrectly applying its bonus damage against Lightning troops instead of Frost troops! We have corrected this. The description on the weapons is unchanged as it was correctly stating that it bonuses against Frost.
Completing the final minigame level is now an additional way to unlock the Dragon earlier. It is possible to complete the final level of the Minigame at Keep level 15. The dragon otherwise unlocks at Keep level 19 which is unchanged for those newer shards. This gives two paths to owning a Dragon: Beating the minigame between levels 15 and 18, or getting to level 19 regardless of Minigame completion.
Earlier in the week, the boss spawn rates were increased during this past Stone Crusher event while it was in progress. We've applied that increase to all future boss events so it shouldn't be an issue going forward.

What’s New

A new item, Dragon Rage Boost, has been introduced that grants the player increased Dragon Rage payouts from all PvE targets. Dragon Rage Boosts can be found as a reward in Daily Goals for players between Keep Level 7 and 15, as well as through events.
Doomfang Forts Expansion
Level 41 and Level 43 Doomfang Forts have been added into high-level counties. These challenging new targets will count towards all Doomfang related events.

Dragon Lairs have returned to Ardendale. These new targets are weak to Dragons. Attacks against Lairs can only be started using a Dragon, but standard Armies can reinforce if your dragon is not quite strong enough yet or you are trying to take down a higher level Lair. Lairs can be looted for large quantities of building speedups, research speedups, raw refinery materials and Dragon XP.

Torture – This new Noble Action replaces Execute, which has been permanently removed.

- Torturing a Noble applies the Tortured debuff to the unfortunate victim, then releases them from capture. While the Nobles live to fight another day, Torture applies some penalties. Tortured Nobles can’t:
- Leave the Keep to lead Armies, explore Dungeons, Trade, visit other Keeps, etc.
- Boost or Guard a room
- Boink or be Boinked
- Be Captured (this prevents getting Tortured again right away)

Send one of your Nobles to Buy Drinks and Listen for Rumors at one of these Taverns for a chance to discover a unique quest! New taverns are popping up all the time, so keep your eyes out – you never know where the next one might be!\n\n\n

\n\n\nLocal Taverns will appear in certain counties where you can send a Noble to listen for rumors that may lead to unique Quests.\n\n\n
\n\n\nTo listen for rumors at a Tavern, summon any Noble role and use the trade task: \n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Drinks and Listen for Rumors\n\n\n\n\n\n.\n\n\n
\n\n\nA Tavern Quest will be launched once the task is completed.\n\n\n
\n\n\nThere are three different types of Tavern Quests:\n\n\n

\n\n\nSometimes you might not learn anything of value at the Tavern, but at least you’re left with some local gossip to tide you over.\n\n\n
\n\n\nWhen one Tavern Quest ends, another Tavern may spawn in a different county, so keep your eyes peeled!\n\n\n
\n\n\nThe first batch of Tavern Quests will target counties in the level 4-9 range.\n\n\n

\n\n\nImproved Refinery Payouts\n\n\n

\n\n\nThe Refinery goes BRRRRRRRR\n\n\n
\n\n\nMetal, mineral, and gem payouts have been increased at least 50% at all levels. Everyone should feel as though the refinery is more productive in general, and will get even better results when doing 2x and 3x refines across all Keep levels. \n\n\n

\n\n\nWe have updated the refinery to have different min/max/average payouts for the 2x and 3x. In most cases this removes zero as an option in the 2x and 3x refines. Players are also guaranteed at least one uncommon and rare material for these refines at all levels, and, in some situations, quite a bit more.\n\n\n

\n\n\nAnd finally\n\n\n

\n\n\n‘Alliance Member Under Attack’ reports now lead directly to the location of the Battle in question.\n\n\n

\n\n\nSometimes, Nobles returning from Trades and Dungeons would not return to the room they were last boosting or guarding, and would instead lazily loiter in the Great Hall. Now, when a Noble returns home, they should always try to get back to work in the last room they were assigned to. \n\n\n
- \n\n\nIf all of the room boosting slots (or the guard slot) is occupied, or they have a trait preventing them from boosting, they’ll remain in the Great Hall. However, whenever they leave the city and return they will again try to enter that room you assigned them to last.\n\n\n

\n\n\nThe Wandering Merchant trades now cost Merits to perform and no longer pay out XP. This allows the primary exchange of resources in the trade to remain the same, while not creating inflation in the economy that would require prices to be raised elsewhere. \n\n\n

\n\n\nIn addition to this shift of the Merits, the trades for protected resources now pay out more than ever before, while the trades for advanced materials now pay out at the same ratio as they did in the past. \n\n\n

\n\n\nWe have increased the duration of the protected resource trades and left the advanced material trades the same duration. The advanced material trades are now also larger to make them more efficient; as an example, you can now trade 1,756 common bronze for 44 uncommon in 1 hour vs the old 1,000 for 25 in the same time period. The same exchange rate but in a larger quantity.\n\n\n

\n\n\nAs promised, we have also added trades for the new T4 materials that were added in last week’s release.\n\n\n

\n\n\nBugs Fixed\n\n\n

\n\n\nThe Fortunes Light spell no longer applies to PvP combat, because this causes the loot gained by the attacker to be greater than the resources lost by the defender. \n\n\nThe ranged units in level 25 Citadels now have the correct range values; they were unintentionally benefitting from a boost intended only for Tier 4 camps.\n\n\n

\n\n\nImprovements are coming to the Noble appearance system. Previously, the system that we used to determine the look of a noble was relatively simple and we just blended the appearance of both parents. This could unintentionally cause offspring to have a very different appearance from the Nobles that spawned them, and, over time, your Nobles would slowly start to all look the same, losing their uniqueness.\n\n\n

\n\n\nTo help prevent that, we’ve introduced the following changes: \n\n\n

\n\n\n– Each Noble will have both apparent and hidden attributes for every element of their appearance. \n\n\n

\n\n\n– When your Noble couples boink, the appearance of their offspring will be determined by choosing a mix of both the hidden and apparent attributes from both parents, then a dash of randomness is added to make each new Noble more unique.\n\n\n

\n\n\n– Only the original apparent and hidden appearance of each Noble’s parents are passed down by them. Randomized variants will not be passed down. This preserves the look of your original nobles as their descendants spread out into the realm.\n\n\n

\n\n\n– The result should be that the appearance you chose for your original Nobles will give their bloodline a distinctive look through the generations, while children born to the same parents won’t look like clones of one another.\n\n\n

\n\n\n– This will NOT change the appearance of any Nobles born prior to this update. Only Nobles conceived after this update will use this new system. This includes any nobles currently in the nursery waiting to be matured.\n\n\n

\n\n\nGeneral\n\n\n

\n\n\n– Armies deployed against Separatist Camps and Royal Armies will now automatically begin to advance in 15 seconds, down from 60 seconds. There is no change to this auto-deployment timer in other PvE or PvP battles.\n\n\n

\n\n\n– Morale calculations for defenders now use the maximum level of all players on the attacking side. Morale calculations for attackers remain the same.\n\n\n

\n\n\n– As part of our effort to continue optimizing combat, the current limit on the number of reinforcing armies in a single battle has been raised from 50 to 75 per side.\n\n\n
