As the days grow shorter and the sun starts to arc toward its highest point in the sky, the people of Ardendale know that the Winterholm celebration approaches. It’s a season when everyone, highborn and low, has reason to celebrate warmth and joy even in the midst of bitter cold. Winterholm is a time of fabulous pageantry, thrilling tournaments, and most of all, the giving of gifts!
A Time of Gifts
Spread wishes for a warm Winterholm by logging in every day starting December 19 to send three tributes to your Alliance mates, friends, even foes if you’re feeling possessed by the holiday spirit! Why? Because sending tributes contributes to Solo and Alliance Events that reward your generosity with Winterholm Tokens.
You can exchange these tokens for Winterholm Chests packed to the brim with all sorts of treasures to treat yourself with. Find them in the ever-amusingly titled ‘Stuff’ menu. You’ll have chances to earn and spend Winterholm Tokens until the holiday ends on January 1 .
Winterholm Wonders
That’s not all, of course. The first week of Winterholm starts on December 19 and features all kinds of events running through December 25, including both solo and Alliance Events.
Then there’s a short break until the celebration reaches its final crescendo in a set of Events running December 30 through January 1st that reward shards for a new Champion: Kaori!
Kaori the Stormbow - Kaori is a famed mercenary who takes her name from the magical crossbow she earned while on a desert campaign amongst the elves. She teaches crossbowmen in her Battalion techniques that improve their accuracy on the move, while increasing their defense vs normal attacks. She favors an aggressive, Advance and Fire tactic that can quickly overwhelm her opponents.
Advance and Fire - Kaori increases her battalion's speed by 30% for 2 seconds. She then deals 150% of her battalion's damage to her current target. Charged by attacking, and activated by a full charge.
