The Kingdom Maker team is happy to announce that the latest of our ongoing Noble improvements arrives today: Noble Role Promotion!
Just in time for June’s Midsommer holiday, this round of improvements will give Nobles clear progression through Roles, raises the Noble level cap, expands the number of each Role a family can have, and paves the way for even more Noble improvements in the future.

Noble Role Promotion
Previously, to adopt a new Role after it was researched, an all-new Noble was required.
Now Nobles progress in a Role from Tier 1 Roles into more powerful, Tier 2 Roles. That means you can keep your favorite Nobles, and there’s no need to toss your loyal family members aside.
Also, Merits have been simplified: category and role-specific Merits have been replaced. Nobles that are part of the same Role use the same Merits to progress, regardless of their specific Role.
Upon advancing your Noble from a starter to an advanced Role, Nobles will receive more free rerolls (according to their quality) to increase the chances of rolling for the best traits. Advanced Roles will also have more powerful versions of the same traits available to the starter Roles.
Specialize if You Wish
Families used to cap out of two of each Role. With the update, it will be possible to have two Tier 1 Roles and four advanced Tier 2 Roles, so each Noble family can focus on a particular set of activities if so desired.
Increased Level Cap
Nobles can now go to level 80! Starter Roles (Captain, Knight, Rogue, Merchant, Explorer, and Collier) level 1-40. After the update, advanced Roles (Marshal, Paladin, Executioner, Agent, Ranger, and Prospector) can power all the way up to level 80.
Bye Bye, Baby. Hello My Darlin’
Noble breeding is still an important part of Kingdom Maker. Now that you can check a baby’s traits before you mature them into a Role, you might not want to keep them. With this update you can send unwanted Noble babies to the Monastery with the tap of a button, for free, even when your family is full.

Midsommer will be Hot! Hot! Hot!
During Midsommer the people of Ardendale celebrate the longest day of the year with all manner of festivities. There are bonfires and feasting, and contests among the most talented Nobles to see who will be crowned as the Sun King or Sun Queen!
It’s also a time when the folk of Ardendale load whatever they can find into catapults and have competitions to see who can fling stuff the furthest. Holiday traditions don’t always make sense. . .
This is a very special Midsommer, because this season there will be opportunities to earn the loyalty of the all-new Epic Champion Eldor Murkmist, craft powerful Catapult battalion equipment, and for the most dedicated, an opportunity to add a Sun Crowned Mythic Noble to their dynasty: a special Mythic Noble that comes with TWO more traits than normal!
Midsommer lasts until June 25, but it begins now!

Eldor Murkmist and his champion Catapult
Want to fling things longer and harder than ever? You need the services of the burliest engineer in Ardendale: Eldor Murkmist. Beginning today, there will be opportunities to earn his shards. Not only that, but there will be opportunities to acquire unique Catapult Battalion equipment too!
For your best shot at unlocking Eldor and his special catapult equipment, try to complete every Launch into Midsommer milestone all Midsommer long.
Sun-Crowned Mythic Noble
During Midsommer a Sun King and Sun Queen are crowned. How about adding one of these MYTHIC Nobles with TWO more traits than normal to your noble dynasty?
Your new Noble is waiting, but you’ll need to log in to compete every weekend of Midsommer: on June 10, 17, and 24 a special Sun Crowned Noble leaderboard Event will begin. Those who place well will make progress toward unlocking a very special Mythic Noble to their family.
